I just want to start off by saying I almost never leave a 5 star review for anything, but Safford Carpenter our Relator exceeded my expectations in everyway.

He listened to us and worked with us every step of the way. When we wanted to look at open houses on our own, he sent us lists of open houses that met our criteria. When we wanted to view listings that didn't have open houses, he made time around our schedules to show us the houses. When it came time to make a offer he was able to inform us of local market conditions and coached us on creating an offer that would get accepted without overpaying. Safford did not stop once the offer was accepted. His excellent service continued as his network of professional contacts extended beyond mortgage brokers, but to home inspectors and building contractors as well, helping us to resolve issues with the contingencies and close escrow on time! Even after taking possession of the house, we have been impressed with his assistance with our home warranty and moving advice. In conclusion, I would not hesitate to recommend Safford to anyone. He was professional, skilled, and constantly available via text, phone and email. We could not be more pleased.

We met Safford at an open house he was hosting.

We were new to Salem and were looking for a new realtor. We met at the right time, stars were aligned.....all that. Turns out that during a housing crunch, my wife and I weren't the only ones looking for a new house. Who knew? Safford was great, always positive and upbeat. He had seemingly limitless patience (we were probably pickier than we should have been) with us. Talked us off the ledge a few times when we'd get frustrated or discouraged but he never quit trying. Always quick to answer/return phone calls or texts and ever ready with answers to our myriad of questions. So we have crossed paths with lots of agents. The video, the terrific tri-fold that looks like a photo love letter to our 100 year old home, will always remind us of those years. "You definitely want Safford on your side if you’re buying or selling. He did a top shelf job of marketing the house, it made me want to buy it all over again. As far as communicating, you really couldn’t ask for better. In short, you feel like you are working with a professional because you are. He stayed on top of the deal from beginning to end making calls sending e-mails and giving me status updates almost daily. He was awarded Statesman Journal Realator of the Year for a reason."

"Man, if I put in here every single positive thing, this review would be so long that nobody would read it. Let me summarize, the TLDR version for the millennial folks. Expertise, efficient, persistent, determined, available, no nonsense- with a LOT of connections to guide you in the right direction. I'm four years out of a bankruptcy, have you know- average credit but that's still a pretty fresh BK in the real estate world. I had pretty specific wants for a house, small, big yard, fenced, centrally located but not terribly opposed to outside of city limits, depending. I *NEEDED* it to be an FHA loan because the BK with a conventional would have me putting down ridiculous down payment. This guy not only made it happen- he made it happen in what I'm pretty sure was record breaking speed. Google FHA loans and the typical closing time- it's around 45 days min- we got her done in the mid 20s, no joke. The thing about Safford is- he's a doer. He gets the job done. Not just that, but the fact that he was willing to listen to me have near panic attacks over the hoops we had to jump through, he listened to me vent, talked me off my ledge more than a handful of times AND the man is literally available 24/7. That's not an exaggeration- if I had a question at midnight, you bet your bottom dollar- he responded. And, he accommodated my INSANE work/school schedule. We were checking houses out in the evenings, on weekends- whatever you need- he does. Another HUGE thing I have to mention is that a lot of real estate agents (at least that I've met) come across SUPER pushy. Persistent, like greasy car sales people- they'll say what you want to hear to get your business. Safford tells you the truth. The truth about the house, the neighborhood, your options, because he's a good guy. And, he genuinely cares... I came to him at a really hard time in my life and was like, we probably can't make this happen but lets try. And you know what? I'm typing this review from my OWN home, in my OWN office, for the first time in my life. He made this happen. I don't know if you're selling a house, buying a house, even just THINKING about one or the other, but I can tell you this- if you're using literally anyone other than Safford, you're missing out. I don't know how he does it- but dang, he does it. Safford- if you see this- man. Thanks doesn't even cover it. You're one in a million and you hit this out of the park. Thanks for going to bat for me."
